Vehicle Maintenance and Repairs
At Rays Car Care, we recognize that your vehicle is one of the largest investments you will ever make. We share your priorities of keeping it running, keeping it safe, and keeping it in peak condition. Rays Car Care not only helps you maintain your vehicle through our preventative maintenance services, but we are also there when your vehicle needs repair.
Below are some of the services we offer. After more than 25 years in business we have repaired most foreign and domestic vehicles on the road today. Stop by and let us take a look at your vehicle. We will give you an estimate, make an appointment and get your car back to peak condition so you can enjoy it again.
When it comes to safety, no part of your vehicle is more important than the brakes. They should be inspected at least once a year to determine the condition of the hydraulic system and operating hardware. While the entire braking system requires attention, the friction components (pads, shoes, rotors and drums) require constant attention because they wear down each time you apply your brakes.
Tune Up Service: Ignition System and Spark Plugs
When your vehicle is properly tuned, the ignition system, fuel system, emission system and computer system all work together in perfect harmony. This results in peak combustion chamber efficiency, improving performance, saving you money at the gas pump and making sure your car is emitting a minimal amount of pollutants.
Check Engine Light Diagnostics
Your vehicle is driving erratically, or you’ve got a warning light on your dashboard that was blinking yesterday and now is on steady. What do you do? Quick attention to dashboard lights can save you thousands on serious repairs down the road.
Fuel System: Air Induction and Fuel Injection Services
Heat causes buildup of carbon and varnish in your vehicle’s engine, and the deposits act as a sponge that soak up fuel, restrict and misdirect proper air flow. The results are poor engine efficiency, high stress on critical engine components and higher levels of harmful emissions.
Power train System Services
Engine Replacement and Repair, Transmission Replacement, and Differential/Trans axle Repair
The power train system consists of the internal combustion engine, transmission and differential/axle assembly. The power train is controlled via an On-Board computer network. In a front-wheel drive vehicle, the transmission and differential/axle assembly are combined into a single trans axle.
CV Axle Repair and Replacement
The CV Boot(s) are the protective coverings which contain grease to lubricate the constant velocity joints (drive axles).
Replacing the CV Boot(s) will prevent further CV joint damage and can reduce “clicking” noise if present when turning.
The CV Shaft(s) transfer power from the trans-axle to the front wheels on a front-wheel drive vehicle.
Cooling System Service
The cooling system removes the tremendous heat generated by your vehicle’s engine. This heat, if left uncontrolled, can quickly damage vital engine components. The cooling system is sealed and under pressure.
